Bob from Liverpool is a decent, good, and hard working man. An Army Veteran who served extensively in the Great War for his country, Bob like many was demobbed only to return home to hard economic times in the heart of a industrial community. Bob like many Veterans are struggling to find work until the Mail carrier arrived in 1920 with a job opportunity that was, at least to Bob, a little bit too familiar.

 

The character of Bob's likeness is based entirely on actor Simon Bugg whose image appears with the permission of Simon. Regional dialect for the story was written with assistance by Ken McConnell.
